The presentation will draw from perspectives based on 25 years of simulation testing and evaluation work by J. Neymark & Associates, primarily in collaboration with Ron Judkoff of National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), and also the International Energy Agency, ASHRAE, and others. -- The presentation will emphasize the following related to Standard 140: 

• Brief overview of the tests and related NREL “BESTEST” methodology
• How Standard 140 applies to different tools in the market today, including IRS Section 179D's tool testing requirements
• Other standards and certification authorities referencing Standard 140
• How the Standard has contributed to software improvements (and therefore improved user confidence)
• How Standard 140 may be used as a training tool for modelers [as time permits].
